Researching, developing and teaching Mixed Reality!

I am an Augmented Reality, Mixed Reality and Human-Computer Interaction researcher. Furthermore, I am an experienced software developer that is passionate about Open Source, Open Science and Open Educational Resources. My research focus is on Augmented Reality authoring tools, Usability evaluations and the development of new interaction concepts for immersive media. I currently teach the lectures “Mixed Reality” and “Game Design and Programming”.

I published 24 scientific publications (Citations: 517, h-index: 10, i10-index: 10), was actively (often in leading roles) involved in the conceptual and technical development of several Augmented Reality Apps (Heb@AR App, FLUX Remote, Sonnensegel nach Mass AR) and worked on various Augmented Reality research projects. Furthermore, I published open-source projects in the subject areas of Augmented Reality and Usability toolkits (TrainAR, SUS Analysis Toolkit, SUS PDF Generator, HebAR).

Among others, I received the AVRiL Gold Award (2022), the nextReality "Interactive Education" Award (2022), and the COGAIN Best Paper Award (2018) for my work.
